Gold League?

Logged in to Starcraft 2 and found myself promoted to gold league. I wonder why. Good thing is I consistently played against good players. I went in thinking of trying funny strategies, like pure baneling etc. But got whooped, owned, reaper rushed and thor dropped etc. Then sat down to do normal strategy, and found it so hard going. Depressing and humbling >_>;

I really need to play more difficult matches like those. Any easier and I am going to be a bad player~ really bad.
